Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business programme accredited by AACSB International.
Currently, only students gaining business qualifications from the University of Auckland and AUT can become BGS members through the associated AACSB accreditation. In New Zealand, there are approximately 2000 graduates who are members of the BGS NZ Alumni Chapter.
Beta Gamma Sigma is The International Business Honour Society. Since 1913, we have recognised and honoured top-performing students from around the world in business schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Inducted at the time of graduation, BGS members go on to serve in critical leadership roles in corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit, and academic sectors.
Our members are the top 10% of undergraduate students, top 20% of graduate students, and all doctoral candidates that have successfully defended their dissertation at an AACSB accredited business school. AACSB accredits just 5% of schools worldwide assuring that BGS members belong to an organisation synonymous with the highest standards of academic excellence.

The Mission of the International Honour Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honour academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.
